The second series, Blackadder II, was aired in 1986. It is set during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, and we are introduced to another member of the Blackadder dynasty, Lord Edmund Blackadder.
The fourth series, Blackadder Goes Forth, was aired in 1989. It is set in 1917, during the First World War. Captain Edmund Blackadder is in the army at the front lines of the Western Front.
